Bathing in the Ganges is a purifying ritual that is thought to wash away a penitent’s sins. Post that visits the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is the most famous temple of Varanasi, also known as the Golden Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was constructed in the year 1780 by the Maratha Monarch, Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore. Return to hotel for breakfast.

Later, kings who followed Buddhism like King Ashoka built a lot of stupas and structures here that are focused on Buddhism. Buddhist pilgrims from various parts of the world visit Sarnath every year. Sarnath is also famous for the Ashoka pillar, which is now the country’s national emblem. It is also a pilgrimage spot for Jains. Return to hotel.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

Formerly Central Hindu College, is a collegiate, central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India.

It was established in 1916 jointly by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, the Maharaja of Darbhanga Rameshwar Singh, Maharaja of Banaras Prabhu Narayan Singh, Sunder Lal, and British Theosophist and Home Rule League founder Annie Besant. With over 30,000 students, and 18,000 residing on campus, BHU is the largest residential university in Asia.

Bharat Mata Temple

The temple is not a new construction in Varanasi, which has been a religious pilgrim’s favorite in northern India. The temple is considered unique for its display of the map of Undivided India on marble.

The temple was constructed by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupta in pre-Independence India at a time when Mahatma Gandhi was taking charge of a national movement for freedom from British colonial rulers.

The Gupta family still takes care of the building. Once that’s done, proceed for the temple tour of Varanasi, Tulsi Manas Mandir – This temple has great historical and cultural importance in Hinduism since the ancient Hindu epic Ramcharitmanas was originally written at this place by Hindu poet-saint, reformer, and philosopher Tulsidas in the 16th century.

Durga Mata Mandir

Durga temple is also known as the Monkey temple (because of the presence of a huge number of monkeys), situated in the Durga Kund, Varanasi. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Durga. It was built in the 18th century. The statue of Goddess Durga is not human-made; it appeared on its own in the temple. Millions of Hindu devotees go to the Durga temple on the Navratri and other propitious occasions and pray to the Goddess Durga to complete their wishes.

Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir

It is believed that the temple has been built on the very spot where Tulsidas had a vision of Hanuman. This temple has the unique distinction of having Lord Hanuman facing his Lord Ram, whom he worshipped with selfless devotion. Return to hotel for breakfast. Relax and in the afternoon, you would be taken back to Ramnagar where you can enjoy the Ramnagar Fort. The fort contains elephant traps, astrological clocks, museums, and other attractions. This 17th-century fort is the residence of the kings of Varanasi. Even now, the royal residence of the current king is inside the fort. Overnight at Hotel.
